Beware if you have a VISTA operating system
* This is probably a fine label machine for most computrs, but it wouldn't work with my new Vista operating system.
Brother's customer service representative put forth great effort to do what was needed to make the driver function. After three phone sessions with Brother, the driver did work; sort of. Yes the label printer worked, but then my printer/copier wouldn't.
I suppose that I fiddled with it for over an hour by myself, and then almost that long in company with a Brother Tech Support person. I must say that the Brother telephone support people were really great. They seemed to know what they were talking agout. They were patient and really tried to get the thing working properly.

* Finally Mac OSX Compatible ...
I actually bought this about 4 years ago. Worked fine on my PC but no Mac support. At first that didn't bother me, but now I only use my Mac. I saw that they now have drivers for Mac OSX and downloaded them - hurray, it works beautifully! The manual for the Mac is not current, but it's still pretty easy to figure out on your own. After four years, I still think this is the BEST label printer ever - hurray for Brother for producing a product that has survived well for such a long time!

Awesome!!!
Receive this today and I love it. It was easy to set up and a very fast machine. No more using my other printers to print labels. I actually got it about an hour ago and it is already up and running.

* Brother P-Touch QL-500 Manual-Cut PC Label Printing System ...
* This is a very fine product, while it doesn't have all the fancy bells and whistles, it gets the job done. It is user friendly, esp. for those of us that are a bit techno challenged. I have saved loads of time printing address labels for envelope of different sizes. ...
